GroomyPet — e-commerce & vet-platform integrations

E-commerce · Freelance · Technical Lead · Nexera · Live at groomypet.com; the store awaits its public launch.

Not just a website: a storefront built for a pet-care brand in Abu Dhabi, wired into ezyVet, Network International payments, and a custom Xero sync that carries the data the built-in integration drops.

GroomyPet is a pet-care brand in Abu Dhabi — veterinary care, wellness, grooming, and boarding under one roof — and a client of Nexera, where I work freelance on web projects. Its site needed to be more than a brochure: a storefront that sells, sitting on top of the systems the business actually runs on.

The business runs on ezyVet, the veterinary practice-management platform. I integrated it with an online payment gateway from Network International, a UAE payment provider, so money taken online lands inside the system the practice already works in. The store itself — catalogue, cart, checkout — is built into the site, ready to open on the client's schedule.

The hardest problem was accounting. ezyVet ships a built-in Xero integration, but it was missing important data and features. I built a custom sync that carries invoices, sales, and purchases from ezyVet into Xero completely — closing a real gap in the off-the-shelf software, and with it a huge problem for the client.

GroomyPet is the brand of Nexera's client; the site and its integrations were delivered by Nexera, where I built them freelance. All product names, logos, and brands are shown solely to document my work on the project and remain the property of their respective owners.
