InvolveXR — VR clinical simulation

DevOps & cloud · 2021 — Present · Senior Developer — DevOps & Infrastructure · Lumeto · In market and actively maintained.

Lumeto's VR clinical-simulation platform, in market worldwide in six languages — I've run its DevOps and infrastructure for five years.

InvolveXR is Lumeto's VR healthcare-simulation training platform: AI-driven virtual patients that nursing and medical learners assess and treat, in a headset or right in the browser. It's in market with hospitals and universities around the world, in six languages, and it's built by the Lumeto team — I own the infrastructure it runs on.

For about five years I've kept that platform shipping and affordable: four environments, the CI/CD pipelines and release process behind every build, source control across Perforce and Azure DevOps, and continuous cloud-cost work, mostly on Azure. One re-architecture of PlayFab game-server hosting alone cut spend by over USD 20,000 a month.

Beyond the product, I build internal tools that make the team faster, I'm the only engineer working with our CTO to take Lumeto through SOC 2, and I work with our solutions delivery lead on modernizing how we ship — bringing AI tooling into the SDLC.
